Mehdizadeh, Ganjzadeh Claim Two Gold Medals at Karate1 Premier League - Sports news

Mehdizadeh defeated Turkey’s Ozer Omer Abdurrahim in the Male Kumite -67 Kg final.

Ganjzadeh also defeated French karate athlete Jacquet Dnylson 4-0 in the Male Kumite +84kg.

Iranian fighters Hamideh Abbasali and Salah Abazari had previously claimed two bronze medals in the event.

Abbasali had defeated Japan’s Saito Ayaka at the Female Kumite +68 Kg bronze medal match and Abazari defeated his compatriot Mahdi Ashouri in the Male Kumite +84 Kg third-place match.

The tournament brought 737 karate athletes together from 89 countries.
