The Iranian team was defeated against Nepal 3-0 at the Kalinga Stadium.

The deadlock was broken in the 41st minute of the game, when Nepal player Anita Basnet managed to unleash a thunderbolt, the volley rifling in the net from an acute angle.

Nepali star Sabitra made it 2-0 in the 59th minute and she got her second of the game late on as Iran tried to push bodies forward.

Iran had already lost to India and Myanmar in the tournament.
