TEHRAN – Around 950,000 Azerbaijani nationals arrived in Iran’s northwestern Ardebil province during the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21.

The figure accounts for nearly 25 percent of inbound travelers to the country,” said Nader Falladi, the provincial tourism chief, CHTN reported.

The Azerbaijani travelers entered the country from Bileh Savar border city, the report added.

The number of Iranian nationals visiting Azerbaijan dropped by 5. 4 percent in the first four months of 2018 over the same period last year, according to AzerNews.

A total of 99,158 Iranians visited the neighboring country during the first three months of 2018.
