TEHRAN - An awarding ceremony was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan during the 2018 IWF World Weightlifting Championships to accolade three lifters with Olympics medals from 2012 London and 2016 Rio.

Saeid Mohammadpour was awarded a London Olympic gold medal, forthcoming to the first place of the men’s 94kg bodyweight category.

Thailand’s Siripuch Gulnoi, who competed under the name of Gulnoi Rattikan at the time, received the bronze medal for her performance in the women’s 58kg bodyweight category in London, 2012, IWF. wrote.

A bronze medal in the men’s 85kg was also given to Kazakhstan’s Denis Ulanov for his result in Rio 2016.

Daniel Gyurta, IOC Member, Olympic champion in swimming and Tamas Ajan, IWF President presented the medals to the athletes.

The medals were reallocated due to disqualifications.
