New shareholders’ presence in TSE up 40% in 4 months yr/yr

TEHRAN- Presence of new shareholders in Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) rose 40 percent during the first four months of current Iranian calendar year (March 21-July 22) compared to the same period of time in the previous year, according to TSE CEO Hassan Qalibaf-Als.

The official said 55,000 trading codes were issued in TSE during the four-month period of this year, ILNA reported on Wednesday.
Presence of new shareholders in TSE also rose 40 percent in the past Iranian calendar year 1396 (ended on March 20), compared to its preceding year, as Qalibaf-Als has previously announced, putting the number of issued trading codes at 174,719 in the past year.
He further put the value of TSE trades at 254 trillion rials (about $5. 707 billion) in the first four months of current year, showing 28 percent rise from that of the same period of time in the previous year.
The official also put the average daily value of TSE trades at 3. 3 trillion rials (about $74. 1 million) in the mentioned four months of this year, indicating 32 percent growth compared to the same time span of the past year.
